I think what you said was actually very logical. But, consider this, what if you wrote a catchier post title? I am not saying your content is not solid, however suppose you added a post title that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You should glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they create news titles to grab people interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab readers interested about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
